Menu is showing but nothing happens when links are klicked

The menu is showing on the smartphone (I tested with https://deviceponsive.com/ and my Win Phone), but nothing happens when a site name is klicked. I turned off every other plugin – no effect.
The funny thing is that the plugin worked fine when I built the site three months ago; in the meantime, I updated WP and the Wordfence plugin.What could cause this behaviour?
