    Hi,

Thanks for your plugin. I found 2 issues that I want to report to you.

1- After importing the attached content file, I can see that menu hierarchy is not correct and the website looks awful due to that problem. I imported the same file with WordPress importer and it works fine. The problem just happen when we import the file using OCDI.

2- We have an error on installing and activating the plugins (On the second plugin!). Please watch the video here: https://totalery.com/api/issue-2.mov

    Thank you in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @hosseinrafiei,

    1. did you verify the menu hierarchy in the WP admin dashboard, or does the menu look strange on the frontend (the actual menu). Because you have to set the menu location after the import is done (with custom code -> check our docs for this particular case). Here is a similar issue that was caused by an item with the same ID. If that’s not the issue that is causing it, please try to recreate the menus (create new menus and delete the old ones) in your original site and try to export the XML file again.

    2. maybe your web hosting is blocking concurrent AJAX calls? And in the video you are not inspecting the ajax call with the error, but instead one just above the error. You could also try to set up the WP debugging and check if there are any error messages in the debug.log file. More info here.

    Take care!

    Hi @capuderg,

    Thanks for your reply.

1- I’ve set the menu location after the import correctly and it’s showing on its location. The only problem is that menu hierarchy is wrong in both frontend and backend. Additionally, I tested the file with WordPress default importer and the WP Importer, imported the file correctly with correct hierarchy. The problem only happens when we import it using OCDI.

Also, I already checked the same thread and it didn’t help. I think you should find the root cause of this problem and fix it.

2- let’s ignore this one because the first issue is more important.

Looks forward to hear back from you soon.

    Hi @hosseinrafiei,

I’ve imported your XML file on a fresh WP site with the OCDI plugin and here are the menu results (ignore the invalid item, since I didn’t have the required plugin installed):

Is the hierarchy OK? If not, could you please provide the correct menu orders, so we know what the correct order is supposed to be?

    Take care!

    Hi @capuderg,

The problem only happens on “Top Menu”.

It’s correct in your import but it is always wrong when we import our demo with the OCDI. It’s the only part that has problem.

I don’t know what should we do. If needed please provide us a private way to send theme and plugins so you can install and import the demo yourself.

    Hi @capuderg,

    Any update?
I think it will be good if you provide me a private way to send theme files so you can test it with the theme to see and fix the issue.

Looks forward to hear back from you soon.

    Hi @hosseinrafiei,

I’m sorry, for some reason I’m not getting these email notifications, even though I’m subscribed to this topic…

Are you importing/testing this on a fresh WP site? Or are you importing it on an existing WP site, which has older menu items, posts, pages, …?

Could you please try the import on a totally fresh WP site?

If that doesn’t work we’ll try to find a way to get the theme zip and I’ll test it out. Is this a premium or free WP theme?

    Take care!

    Hi @capuderg

    Thanks for your feedback.

I had a debug local website with fresh and updated WordPress. I always reset it to WP fresh installation using WP Reset plugin and then try to import the demo.

Today, I tested with a completely new WP installation and the problem exists!

Our theme is a free theme for now and we did not submitted it to WP team due to problems. After fixing the demo importer, we will send it to WP team.
