Menu format drastically changed and no longer able to edit menu after update

I have just updated QuadMenu Pro to version 1.7.0 (QuadMenu is set to auto-update and is on version 3.0.2). Following the update the menu format has changed so that the menu columns no longer have the correct width but have been ‘squashed’ down into a narrow column making them look dreadful. The menu is also now displaying just in black and white rather than the colours it was configured with. In addition, I can no longer even edit the menu!
I have tried disabling all other plugins but to no avail.
Please advise with some urgency.

Hello mate, could you please make sure that you have correctly selected the “Theme location”?
You can check this from “Quadmenu” –> “Options” –> “Theme”.
