Menu entries OVER content (TwentyEleven child theme)

Hi!
I’m using a TwentyEleven child theme (few changes though) and it’s all working fine except for my IE 8 users…Here’s what happens:

I tried a bit adding z-index: something to the menu entries but didn’t work…
Can you help me? ??
