Menu dropdown arrow showing up as box

    Hi there,

    I am a beginner WordPress user needing help with the dropdown arrow on my “shop” page. It now shows up as an empty box. The arrow was there until I installed the Elementor website builder plugin and when I disable the plugin, it comes back. I’d like to continue using Elementor as it helped me to create a landing page for Instagram links.

    Is there an easy way to fix this (without inputting code into functions.php, as I am unfamiliar with coding)?

  • There can be several reasons. For the arrow the “Font Awesome 5 free” family is used.
    You can try to do this: Elementor > Tools > Font Awesome Upgrade > Upgrade To Font Awesome 5

    But anyway you shouldn’t use Elementor with your theme and page style. I think there will be to many conflicts.
    Ha, and on your Instagram landing page there is the arrow.

    Thank you @felaherz! I have decided to disable Elementor since it was causing this issue and created the page using another page builder. Appreciate your help!
