I reverted to 5.2.8 and the menus work again. Might be worth investigating what’s happening in 5.2.9.

I’ve got this problem as well.

can you try the following steps:

    1. revert back to default wp theme
    2. disable all plugins
    3. activate events manager
    4. activate other plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

I personally can’t reproduce this problem, but I’m pretty sure what’s causing it.

If someone can send me some admin info to support at our site (wp-events-plugin.com) we’ll look at your setup to try and reproduce this. First come first served!

The odd thing is, the change we made is meant to correct something we weren’t doing correctly with usage of parse_query filters in the first place.

btw, make sure you provide a link to this page in the email, so we know what it’s about.

    Thanks guys,

Just to re-cap. I had this problem even with all plugins de-activated apart from:

    Buddypress 1.6.1
    Events Manager 5.2.9
    EM Pro 2.2.3

Deactivating EM 2.2.9 brings back menu.

OK, I think I figured out the problem!

This is caused only on installs with EM on the home page. The problem was in classes/em-permalinks.php

I’ll be updating the dev version 5.2.9.1 with a fix to this within a few hours, which you can update to by going to Events > Settings > Admin Tools > Check Dev Versions
