• Hi

Im a fairly experienced WordPress user (12 years building sites). My issue is very odd and never seen before by me.

My menus are deleted for some reason. I try re-populate items to any menu, and when i save and page refreshes, the items are gone.

My products don’t show in backed or frontend when i filter by category, yet if i go to product category screen in backend, i can see list of categories with each stating how many products are un each category, and they all have products in them, but the actual products aren’t allocated to any categories.

I have searched everywhere and i suspect this is some sort of security feature somewhere or server setting.

I have removed ALL plugins (including wordfence) and the problem persisted so it’s not plugin related. Php version i have tried 7.4 and 8 – problem persists. I have edited php conf to highest possible settings for memory and everything else. I also upgraded wp memory allocation in wp-config. I rolled wordpress version backwards, no luck. It must be some server related issue surely.

Oh, the site is using ASTRA theme which is up to date. Problem persists with 2021 theme as well.

Please could someone try help a brother out.

Any advice welcome. Thanks a million.

That sounds a lot like a database issue. Maybe records aren’t getting saved or something. Look in the Posts table and in the post_type column filter by menu and see if your menus are actually in there or not. There are lots of things you can test, but I think if you compare what’s in the database with what you’re seeing on the front end you’ll figure it out.
