what I have done different, I copied the same coding to the Additional CSS, instead of the Simple Custom CSS

and it WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ll give you a tip that will make your life easier, when working in the Customizer and changing CSS to affect Mobile devices, look right down in the bottom RH corner and click on the Phone or Tablet icons, then you will see instantly if the changes you are making work or not.

You should always be using the Additional CSS in the Customizer.

funny enough, when I checked that feature on my laptop, shows the menu on mobile and tablet still purple

I built my first WordPress site 13 years ago and it was a vastly different animal then, than it is now, believe it or not it is now much easier for novices than it was then.

something odd still happening: when I am checking from my mobile from google, the menu is orange and grey

when I sent the link to a friend on Whatsapp and I was opening via whatsapp, it is still purple and lime green

WTH?????????????????????????????????????????

Could be just a caching issue, check again tomorrow
