Menu categories disappear after adding a post

Have you set your custom menu as the Primary Navigation Menu in Dashboard –> Appearance –> Menus?

Yes, but one error I often make is to specify the menu but forget to make it the Primary Navigation Menu and save the result.

i do not see an option in wordpress to make it primary

No, that’s OK. You’ve done it. It’s the panel on the left marked “Theme Locations –> Navigation Menu”. Your theme uses a different terminology to the default one.

You’ve only got one item on it, though, which is what I see on your site. So I’m not entirely sure what you’re expecting to see.

the one item selected is “Technology” correct.. (as in the screenshot) but do you see it on the homepage https://ipadsadvisor.com/

Thats the problem.. it appears the first time on the LEFT of HOME and after a post is made it disapperas

I don’t understand why ‘Home’ is appearing at all. It’s not on your menu and your menu is set as your navigation menu. So I’ve no idea what’s going on here.

Hi Pae.
I finally got the cause of the problem. It was a plugin issue: “Duplicate posts eraser”

Actually the same problem has been happening to me another site too with the same plugin. If anyone has the same problem here is more info:

I hope the plugin developer can do something.. as it is a really cool plugin
