Menu button redundant on 2012 theme when viewed on smart phone

    I have a website with a child theme of 2012, which is of course responsive. However the menu button which appears on the screen when viewed on a smart phone appears to be redundant, when it is clicked, nothing happens. Have I missed something, can I make it active?

    Nobody seems interested!

    I have noticed if I change to the original 2012 theme, the menu button for the main navigation works when viewed on a smart phone or smaller screen. Does anybody have any ideas why it doesn’t work with my child theme?

    Solved. It was some changes I’d made to the css.
