Menu Bug – help!

  • There is something wrong with my menus section on my website.
    First off it is extremely slow, it’s only on the menu section this happens – when i click onto the menu section, when i try to move a page etc. (i also use many other wordpress sites with no issues)

    On top of that, It simply will not let me add pages to the custom menu.
    I try to add the new page, click save and the tick from primary menu disappears, and the location goes blank, every time i edit the menu i have to go and edit all of these section again in order to make the menu appear!!
    And after doing all that, the page i tried to add doesn’t appear on the website menu, and disappears from the menu section!!

    HELP!

  • Have you recently installed any plugins, themes, or updates that could have caused this? It’s very odd for it to just randomly stop working well.

    This has been going on for a few months…. I have done all of the wordpress updates as they come, but no – no new plugins have been installed, and the theme hasn’t been changed, or any new ones installed!

    I would try installing a clean copy of WordPress then – make sure you copy and backup your wp-content folder so you don’t lose information!

    This could fix any problems with core files that could have been messed up during everyday use.

    Unfortunately not, you have to have FTP access to the installation. Maybe you should contact your host and ask if they can help you do a clean install content of the core files, but without losing all of your content.

    They should be able to do that.
