    Hi,

I face several issues with my theme, using Polylang multilinguage plugin with it.

Indeed, my language doesn’t switch on the menu when I switch to another language (Home should be Accueil while in French language). In addition, if I click on a menu link, it send back to english instead of the language’s corresponding page.

In addition, from a phone, the menu burger doesn’t expand.

After some tests, it surely is the theme that contains a bug, as it doesn’t do that with another theme.

the theme developer doesn’t have a support contact on free version, so this forum seems to be the only solution to try getting help.

If someone has a solution, that would really helps me.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @raphaelfiquet,

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

Please make sure you follow the steps provided in this document to translate the theme with Polylang. Regarding the burger menu issue, that may occur due to a plugin conflict on your end. I checked the console log of your site and there is one error related to Siteground. Please install the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, enable the troubleshooting mode which will deactivate all plugins and check if the issue persists. If the problem doesn’t occur anymore, it means it was indeed caused by a plugin conflict and you should reactivate the plugins one by one, until you find the culprit. Then, replace that plugin with an alternative one.

    I hope this helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Hi Lucia,

Thanks a lot for your answer.

First, I’ve been able to fix the menu translation issue through the documentation, and this works perfectly now.

But, regarding the menu burger, I applied your recommendations, and even with all the plugins deactivated, the bug still stands on mobile.

2 observations that might help though :
    – the console error disappeared, so it seems like it wasn’t the root cause
    – on a reduced window on computer, the burger works, so it’s only on mobile

Here is my test environment if you want to check by yourself : https://www.staging2.raphaelfiquet.com/

I am a bit stuck by that, ultimate issue to deploy my website, if you have a solution, or at least a workaround, that would be great !

    Hi Lucia,

Do you have any workaround or solution for me? I am really desperate to launch my website at this point, and this very small theme bug is really blocking me for that.

    Hi @raphaelfiquet!

I tried to replicate this on my instance but the mobile menu works as expected every time. Also, no other users reported this issue lately, so it is probably related to your environment. Usually, speed optimization or caching plugins like the one you use, Siteground Optimizer, optimize CSS delivery, compress JavaScript files and minify HTML. These can affect the mobile menu and search functionality. You could try to exclude the frontend.js file from the optimization settings. This way the mobile menu should work properly.

Let me know how this goes!

@raphaelfiquet I’m glad to hear that! Thank you for letting me know, I’m happy I could help! ??
