Menu Blank- links not appearing

Hi,
I activated this plugin mainly because the theme on the site doesn’t have styles for a nice dropdown menu (small biz has scaled up), and I thought it would be faster to use a plugin rather than insert flyout CSS/JS for the whole theme.

I was able to activate, choose my primary menu, and change all the colors I wanted. However, no matter what browser I use, the links are simply not there and it’s a blank white space. I can see the little shadow around the container, and the name and logo, but no links. I inserted the php into the header.php file found in this documentation (https://quadmenu.com/documentation/integration/manual/) but nothing worked.

Since there’s no staging site, I’ve reverted the header.php to its old state and deactivated the plugin, but if someone could take a look and let me know where I’m going wrong, I’d appreciate it!
