    Hi @webtsign,

I have a banner set-up with DIVI and similar menu:

    https://shiny-elk.w5.wpsandbox.pro/divi-placeholders/

    (Banner Bottom + Minimal Theme)

Could you tell which settings you’re using, and if possible to enable Complianz? We will need a couple of minutes. Regards Aert

    Hi @webtsign,

Thanks, but I would like to solve the issue without buying the theme immediately.

Could you tell me which banner (location + template) you used and maybe a screenshot of how it appeared? If possible a 5-minute window where we can debug the issue when Complianz is live.

I would like to know how it makes the menu unusable. Let me know,

    regards Aert

    Hi @webtsign,

We think it has to do with the minification of a javascript file from Advanced Ads, which is blocked by Complianz.

Could you test this by stopping minification for Advanced Ads and clearing cache?

We can then have a look at which scripts are loaded and we should block individually.

    Let me know, regards Aert

It’s off. However, the menu did not go if your plugin was active and is! I had to take another one.

But… now it works. I’ve contacted the ads developer.

    Hi @webtsign,

We will release an update for Advanced Ads in a couple of weeks with the 4.0 release.

This will make integrating with Advanced Ads a bit easier. Regards Aert

    thanks for help

    Hi @aahulsebos,

Thomas, the developer of Advanced Ads here. I am happy to read that you are working on an integration with the plugin and would also like to learn more about the issue that was discussed here. Would yon mind sharing details so that I can reproduce it either here or through our customer support?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi @webzunft,

Complianz blocks scripts from third parties, in this case from Google Adsense. We do this by changing the “text/javascript” in a script to “text/plain”, then enable it again on consent.

The integration adds the script URL to the block list, so the plugin can recognize the script, and block it. In this case, the problem was that a caching plugin had minified the script URL. As a result the URL is not recognized by the parser. The result was that Complianz blocked one script, but not another, leading to script errors because of dependencies.

The issue is solved by excluding this URL from minification. If we can integrate this in a better way, let me know!

Thanks @rogierlankhorst for your feedback. Was this a script belonging to the Advanced Ads core or a script from an ad that was just managed by the plugin?

Advanced Ads comes with a privacy module. We describe how to integrate it with various plugins in a table on this page. Complianz is already added. Let me know if there is something missing.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi @webzunft,

Thanks for the input. This will work, but not if a user has multiple regions detected with geo ip, where one is opt-in and the other opt-out, like for example EU and US. In that case, a US visitor doesn’t need to accept cookies, but should see the ads right away.

which would make it difficult to work with a cookie. Is there a javascript hook I can use to trigger the ads after consent, without blocking the script first?
