I installed Polylang on my website, and after activating plugin + adding 2 languages (in settings), Home Page is no longer found + Menu Bar dissapears. As you can see in my test website:

This is my test website: https://riolocal.staging.wpengine.com/en/ (this is
This is my live website: https://www.riocarnivaltickets.com

I’ve spent at least 2 half days on it:/

I have already deactivated all plugins. But still no menu.
I have switched to 2016 theme. But still no menu.

    More info:
Using Tesseract theme (I noticed that some people managed to have it work on their site)

    Polylang settings:
    – 2 languages (en_US as “0” in order and pt_BR as “1” in order)
    – changed strings translations
    – all other settings are default.

Just to be clear, once I had installed the plugin + activated I still had my menu + home page working.

After I installed languages ==> menu disappears + Home page not found.

    Anyone can help?

    /S

  • I connect to the topic, I have a similar problem, the menu after running over the same scanned (recognition) language pages from polylang itself wtycznki installation, activation and adding language than harm does not cause damage only to scan the menu, please help.

@ssdenis89, did you solve your issue? If yes, I’m curious to know what you did.

I have also an issue on WP Engine with Polylang : the menu bar disappears and the menu is displayed only in the main language.

I had a similar issue and it was due to a bad configuration in the WPE portal.

It happen when you force https for admin and login but not for the site.
