Menu and Theme issues

I’m using Squirrel Pro Responsive on my work site and after making a few changes/plugin upgrades last week, the slider on our front page vanished and won’t come back. I’ve already talked to Inkthemes about this in their support forum, and the only response I’ve received was to reinstall the theme. Did that this morning and it did absolutely nothing.

So, the slider image(s) are gone, and then there’s another issue. I think this may have more to do with settings on the WP side. In our Menu, We have a Home link and the Our Mission page/link. They’re exactly the same page. I’ve tried making the Our Mission page private… messed up the link for “Home.” We don’t need the repetition. I’ve perused all the settings and plugins and can’t figure out how to turn that off. Same goes for fixing the slider from the Squirrel theme.

We’d rather prefer to not switch to yet another theme. Again. I know external theme issues are best dealt with over with the company that made them, but they haven’t been the best help so far.

I’m not a programmer, so telling me to write code is like trying to get a cat to fetch the paper.

Any help would be appreciated.
