Menu and gallery / slider interaction

Here is what I am trying to do, just looking for some advice on what to focus on. I want to have a menu of different brands. Brand A, Brand B, Brand C. There would be a slider right next to the menu. This slider would show Brand A by default, but then if you were to click on Brand B in the menu on the left, the slider would change to show just pictures of Brand B. I am thinking this could be handled by multiple sliders on the same page, and just modifying the visibility on the click event of each menu item.
Can someone help me out here? I’m not looking to reinvent the wheel but this functionality would be really great for us.
