Menu alignment, Menu colour and Excerpt look

Dear Sir or Madam,

First off, I would simply like to thank you for your work with this theme.

This might be a bit too much to ask but I thought I’d might give it a go at least. I was wondering if you might be able to present a CSS code or an alternative solution for the following changes as I have been unable to find any on my own.

Menu/Navigation alignment: I looked through the support forums and found one thread where a CSS code was presented for aligning the menu to center instaed of left and copy pasted that into the the CSS editor but it did not work. Any suggestion on how this one might be solved?

For some reason I am unable no matter how much I try to get the menu/navigation bar to white(#ffffff). There is a slight shade of grey in the bar that differentiate it from the rest and I would like to have it white so it matches the rest of the page.

Finally, is there any way of changing the excerpt text for all posts on the front page? Lets say I would like to have the excerpt text shown in a brighter colour and italic. Any way of doing this?
