@mention privacy, multi-select features

    Thanks for this plugin. It’s great.

    Here are some feature requests:

    1st: @mention privacy

    This would allow the post to be visible only to user @mentioned in the first post, not any subsequent posts.

    This would be cool because it essentially creates a private ad hoc group for discussion without having to create full blown BP Group.

    The dropdown selection could be ‘@mentioned’

    2nd: Multi-select

    Have the ability to select more than one choice. For instance, I might like to share the post with My Followers and My Friends or My Friends and @mentioned

  • This is exactly what I need. An option to allow only the sender, @mentioned person & admin to see the message in the activity stream. Any way to do this?

    (I would settle for allowing admin to see private messages as well)

    Thanks for features,i am planning to add a new privacy level (@mentioned only) in the next release.

    @scimea, in all cases, admin can see all activities ( even if the member select “Only me” ).

    If you add a new activity and you @mention some members, then you select privacy level, mentionned members will receive notification and can see the activity only if he is included in the list of members authorized by the privacy level of the activity.

    for example,
    Privacy : Group members , the mentioned member should be member of group to can see the activity.

    another example,

    Privacty : My friends, the mentioned member should by my friend to can see the activity.

    ect…

    for the second feature (Multi-select), i think it’s need more time of work, so i will planning it for future realse or my be for the pro version :).

    I think i should follow a good way with @mention module like most socials network, mentionned members can always see the activity whatever the privacy level choosed by the poster.

    That’s great @megainfo. That functionality is what i am looking for!

    Do you know when you will release the next update for Buddypress Activity privacy?

    I see it’s been released. Thanks so much!

    BP Activity Privacy 1.2.1 does not work with the Buddypress latest version 1.9.1.
    Will there be a fix soon?
