• I started bulk optimizing of ~4500 files (each having about 16 different sizes). When getting to the 700th file the memory indicator on cPanel hit 1000 Mb, then fell a bit and is rising up again. If it was not weekend, hosting would have already sent me a notification to reduce my load, I guess.

Any ideas what might be wrong? I’m using latest WP and latest EWWW Image Optimizer versions. Environment info is as follows:

    Apache Version 2.2.29
    PHP Version 5.5.20
    MySQL Version 5.5.40-cll
    Architecture x86_64
    Operating System linux

The only thing that increases during a bulk optimization will be the size of the ewwwio_images table in your mysql database. However, with only 700 images done so far, the memory load should not be anywhere even close to 1 GB. I’ve got around 100,000 in my database, and I get by just fine with the default 32MB memory limit. So something else is amplifying the memory usage of EWWW IO besides this Bulk Optimization.

You haven’t turned on Scheduled Optimization already, have you?

Hm… nope, Scheduled Optimization is off.

I have to admit that this is tested on a live site, not a clean test environment, so it’s quite possible that something else “helps” for the memory consumption. Thanks for the quick reply though!
