• Alright, so I setup a WPMU on rackspace cloud hosting. My plugin stack is pretty small

The problem is that with every new blog thats created the memory requirement compounds. I’m at 15 blogs and 450M. CRAZY! Anybody else run into this?

No but … I seem to recall someone saying you had to do different tweaks to the servers to get cloud working right (I’m on a VPS myself and I think Andrea is on Dedicated).

Did you disable the plugins to rule them out?

turn ’em all off. Make a new site, plain vanilla. same stuff happen?

I did disable all of the plugins to rule them out. I disabled them one at a time by clearing the php from their loader files and the memory was still being consumed.

I haven’t even considered trying to recreate this error with a second wpmu setup. Probably willn’t try that option for a while.

No, I meant create a new site in the network, not make a new install. switch to the default theme too.

Not a fan of running multisite on a cloud. not enough control. (tho I do know someone using it at the same host, no issues.)

Oh, I was saying that I have 15 sub blogs of the one wpmu install. Each time that I create a new subblog the memory requirements jump significantly.

And you’re just adding it via the “add site” button, yes?

Does it just jump in that instance and calm down afterwards?
