I have used WordFence on all of my sites with very few issues for many months. Just recently I have found that scans that used to run and complete are not completing. I have seen various error messages indicating the line that the code has stopped at. (The line is not always the same).
    An example is below:
[Mar 04 07:49:27] Analyzed 2600 files containing 25.39 MB of data so far
[Mar 04 07:49:28] Analyzed 2700 files containing 26.07 MB of data so far
[Mar 04 07:49:29] Analyzed 2800 files containing 30.12 MB of data so far
    [Mar 04 07:49:29]
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 262144 bytes) in /home/pva3491/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfConfig.php on line 455

In this configuration the Max Memory Wordfence can use is 90MB
Max execution time setting in WordFence is 20
    Update interval is 2
    PHP Version is 5.3.27
Reported by PHP: Max_Execution_time is 30
    Memory_limit is 128MB

It used to be just plug and play pretty much. I have had a look at two sites this morning and they neither are completing the scan. Has something changed?

If I look back at earlier scans I can see that it has completed in the past. So not sure if this is the result of some upgrade or not. I am using the current version on this particular site.

    Any ideas appreciated. Thanks, Mark.

    Hi,

You may have added more plugins or a new theme perhaps? These all use memory. Looks like even though your site says it can use 128 megs it’s running out of memory at 65 megabytes. Please ask your hosting provider to give you more memory and query them about why the site is configured to have 128 megs and yet it’s running out of memory at 65 megs.

    Regards,

    Mark.
