    Hi,

After upgrading from Litespeed version 4.4.7 to version 4.6, I see a sharp increase in RAM usage by Litespeed. Before only 60GB was used, now it increased to 200GB in 2 days. Today, the swap also became occupied with 30GB. When I cleared all caches in WordPress admin, the RAM usage went back down to 60GB, but is now increasing again at about 2.5GB per hour. Is this normal or something I should be concerned about?

    Thanks!

  • Hey I thought it was just me having this issue, I am also having spikes in cpu usage, I had to basically disable all the optimization options that I had previously enabled

I even upgraded the hosting plan thinking it was an isolated problem.

    Hi,

please check if PHP processes are taking abnormal amount of RAM

please check what is the dir size for wp-content/litespeed/

and also please provide the report number

you can get it in toolbox -> report -> click “send to LiteSpeed”

    Hi @qtwrk ,

Thanks for taking a closer look. This RAM issue just killed my server after I forgot to clear the litespeed cache. It had filled everything to the max. Only the detachment of some php processes and a reboot of the Litespeed server made it possible to gain some space so I could log back into WordPress. There I emptied the Litespeed cache. After that, RAM and SWAP freed up a total of 200GB.

After that I generated the following report: HRRXVUVK
The wp-content/litespeed directory currently has only 8kb
lscache in the root directory has 1,5 GB

Both after clearing the cache. I will keep an eye on this. If a directory grows a lot in the next hours, I will update this.

    Thanks!

If anyone has the same problem, the solution is quite simple. After I turned off the cache in the Litespeed plugin settings once, saved it and turned it on again, the problem just disappeared. Since then, RAM usage is back to a normal level.
