I notice when using the Memcache plugin and adding object-cache.php to wp content, you can’t save anything. So I removed object-cache.php and then saved. However, when putting object-cache.php back it resets everything for XML Sitemap & Google News and nothing is saved again. Is there any way to make the two work at the same time?

  • Hi, the plugin has been tested with the Redis object cache but not Memcache. XML Sitemap & Google News uses the official WP hooks and filters to register/sanitize/store its settings so I’m afraid I have no idea what could be done to make it work if it does not work correctly with the Memcache plugin…

@ravanh , not compatible with memcache, is your plugin compatible with memcached ?

Hi @shirtguy72, it depends which plugin are you using for memcached. For example, LiteSpeed Cache with the Object Caching option set to use Memcached works without any issues. Or at least, none have been detected or reported so far…

If you decide to try the plugin on your installation and you run into an inaccessible admin, then simply remove the directory /xml-sitemap-feed/ from your /wp-content/plugins/ directory via FTP or your provider’s file browser to regain access. Please let me know ??
