Memcache

    We’d like to enable Memcache with this. So far all we see is the choice to abandon Hummingbird AND Smush for another plugin (probably A2, inconvenient) or not use meme cache. Isn’t there a way to implement it with it? Or can you recommend a code snippet or something? It is enabled on our server.

    I hope you are doing well today!

    Hummingbird does not support Memcached. Therefore, if your hosting provider hasn’t fully configured it through a custom plugin, you have the option to use one of the following plugins to enable it on your site and continue to use our plugins.

    ?? OH dear. The first seems to have an issue with how our memcache works (through unix socket, at least even though its active it doesn’t see it.) and the second is out of date and people say it doesn’t work on PHP 8.
    Our host is A2 hosting and they DO have one. The trouble is theirs is not compatible with either Hummingbird or Smush and we use both.
    I guess we’ll have to think of something else.
