A professional developer is helping our organisation to build a website based on the Woocommerce extensions “Woocommerce Subscriptions”, “Woocommerce Memberships” and “Teams for Woocommerce Memberships” but they do not succeed in setting up a combination of a Subscription Product and a Membership Plan that does what we want.
What we want to do: Families can become, as a team, a member of the organisation. One member of the family buys a subscription product (linked to a membership plan) and can then invite other members of the family to join the team. All members of the team then have access to pages that are reserved via the membership plan. Every year, the team owner must renew the subscription.
The subscription product has an indefinite length (“never expires” but must be paid for every year (in our tests “every day”). The membership plan has a membership length of 1 year (again, in our tests “1 day”) but it is also indicated that the membership lenght is tied to the length of the subscription.
When now someone buys the membership product, they get access to the content linked to the membership plan. When the buyer invites a family member to join, this familiy member also gets access to that content.
If I now look in the WP dashboard to the list of memberships, I see that for the buyer (the team owner), the membership is linked to the order via which the subscription product is bought while, for other members of his team, the membership is linked to both the order via which the subscription product is bought and the subscription itself.
Once the renewal date has passed (and no renewal has been paid yet), all access to the membership plan related content is blocked for all members of the team. When I look to the memberships, I see that, for the team owner, the status is “expired” while for the other team members, the status is “paused”.
Once the renewal is paid, the other team members have access again (their membership is again “active”) but for the team owner, the status remains “expired” and he does not has access to the restricted content.
For me, the issue is that the membership for the team owner is not linked to the subscription but I am unable to find out how to configure things so that this happens.
    Any suggestion is welcome.

    Hi there,

Could you please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Tickets?

You’ll want to use the account that made the purchase of these premium extensions. We will then be able to help you further there as support for these WooCommerce extensions is provided via our ticket system.
