Memberships

On regular wp Pages, the EME membership select is a normal multi-delect. So using Ctrl-mouseclick will select/deselect memberships there.
I’ll try out the membership delete later today to see if that has a bug.

Edit: btw, EME doesn’t add membership restrictions to regular WP pages by default, that’s an action you have to make. However, if you delete the membership before deleting it from the WP pages, that would be troublesome for now (since I didn’t check if the mbmership still exists when evaluating access to the page). I’ve already corrected that in the development version and will release a new version asap to fix that too.

Second addition: there was indeed a small bug when deleting memberships, that’s also fixed in the dev version now.

When will the fix be available so I can get users back able to access the site? Thanks

The fix is only for deleting memberships, for your pages there’s no fix needed, you just need to deselect the memberships you have selected in the EME section on those pages.

That’s the problem. I’m not able to deselect anything. They don’t delete, they don’t deselect, they don’t do anything except stay there affecting everyone from being able to login or access ALL pages on the site!!

Addition: I didn’t select the membership for those pages. It automatically was added to every page!!

Addition: I can’t even create new pages for every page on the site because as soon as I create a new page it is automatically added to restrict to that membership. I am completely shut down until this is fixed!!

That’s the weird thing: EME doesn’t automatically add some restriction to every page. Can you contact me in private for this (liedekef at telenet.be), so we can discuss more quickly on what is going on?

Feedback: EME was not blocking access (and it seems a multi-select field is confusing to some people, so the next version will change that to selectboxes).
