• I plan to sell courses in a membership format.
I do not need to sell individual courses.
All the courses will consists of 2 parts

Part 1 – Videos to be Viewed online
Part 2 – File to be Downloaded

Can I have Plans and Pricing as follows:

Plan A – Gives Access to Unlimited courses – but just to View the Videos and is valid for 1 year

Plan B – Gives unlimited access to all courses- Videos and Downloads – and is valid for lifetime

So…is there a way to prevent sections of courses based on membership level ?

    Thanks

  • Sure, all you need to setup is two subscription plans (membership levels):
    1. Video Access – valid for 1 year
    2. Downloads Access – unlimited

Then restrict content based on selected subscription plan by each member. Users will be able to pay via PayPal.

Paid Member Subscriptions can help you with the scenario above.

The content restriction can be done per each page/post or cpt or globally using Global Content Restrict add-on based on post type, taxonomy and terms. More info here.

Videos and Dowloads can be taxonomies of Courses CPT. For creating custom post types and taxonomies without coding look into using the WCK plugin.
