Membership sync problem

Hi. I have a strange issue.
A user subscribed to a monthly plan with stripe Payment. Order received and IPN as well, so I can see the payment into the order list in PMP (with both transaction id and subscription id by the gateway).
Problem is that paid membership pro didn’t assign the new level to the user. I had to do this manually by assigning the proper subscription level. When the renew occurred the following month the order is correctly processed, IPN received, and can see into the PMP order list; but is not synced with user profile.
This happened only for this user. For other users the process worked smoothly and as it should.
How did this happen? and especially, how can I sync now payment orders with user membership level to allow PMP to manage monthly renewal and so keep or change membership level if payment arrive or not?
