Hi I am new to this and just installed to try to expand my website which is also fairly new.

I have setup the plugins but in trying to setup the settings, I am noticing that the membership I just created is not showing in the vendor membership page.

Also can you explain the difference in the vendor registration and the vendor membership page?

I would think the membership page would be for registrations also, but if I’m forcing vendors to pay, why would I need the registration page by itself?

Again I’m new to this completely so sorry for not knowing more but I haven’t gotten far in setup without noticing I can’t get the membership package to show.

    Also it is working now

okay it does seem to be working now (I will still have to fully test later).

The question I have now is what is the difference in the packages?

I have 2 packages setup… The only difference I see so far is the commission can be changed up.

Can I also offer a certain number of product listings per package? If so how do I do this?

And also is there any other differences in the packages that can be made? Thanks

Sure, you may setup different capabilities for each membership plan differently.

    Setup guide – https://youtu.be/pO4_9xEzWic

For this you will require WCFM – Group & Staff plugin. https://wclovers.com/product/woocommerce-frontend-manager-groups-staffs/

If you want to set different “product limit” for different membership plan then WCFM – Ultimate will also require as limit capabilities come with this addon. https://wclovers.com/product/woocommerce-frontend-manager-ultimate/

Simply saying, you require both the addons for setting up this.?
WCFM Ultimate is required to setup Product limit capabilities.
WCFM – Group & Staff is required? to setup membership wise capabilities.

Okay thanks, can you also tell me how to use the Paypal direct plugin? I have it installed as I want users to pay the sellers directly.

Do the sellers have to have a certain type of Paypal account? Or will any work?

And also where would they input their Paypal email?

Sorry I still haven’t had time to test it all but these should be the only questions I would have if everything else works and I can understand the rest.

    Thanks again

I tried to add in my Paypal settings into the settings page where the client ID and key is asked for… created about 24 hours ago.

Also I have entered in the Paypal email address into the Membership Settings. However I get this error message from Paypal when I try to purchase a membership package on the website….

“Things don’t appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.”

I have tried to setup Stripe also and come across the error message in the script “Stripe Plan ID missing” and I understand the tutorial, however I am unsure where to put this information the ID it asks for.

I have entered even the Stripe information in the regular Settings page and the Membership Settings page.

okay so why is Paypal not working? did you read that part?

Note that I got Paypal working but only with one-time fee processing. The recurring payment processing does not work for me at all.

Okay so far it is working with Paypal… apparently the number 365 (days) entered for the plan packages term was not being accepted by Paypal for some reason.

I only have a few sections to complete in the settings pages (waiting until after fully tested). My only other questions are for the Paypal Direct addon plugin:

Do the sellers have to have a certain type of Paypal account? Or will any work?

And also where would they input their Paypal email?

Okay so I got to further test, and it seems that the product that I created from the Multivendor import option (where I already had products listed as Admin of the website, so imported to my newly created vendor account) does not show on the homepage or on any other category pages… I’m guessing because it would be a same-type product instead of a new listing, but just wanted you to know as I thought it was a bit off to not show other than the admin-listed product. It may work differently when adding a product to your store from another store.

Also another error…. in the cart drop-down there seems to be broken code somewhere around where the “Sold By” info is added in there in my Woocommerce-style script. The dropdown’s in Woocommerce style themes is really popular and not sure if this is meant to look this way, but I clearly see code under the product that shouldn’t be there, and upon further inspection it looks like there’s an error / break in the code somewhere around insertion there.

I’m still not full done testing. Pretty sure I figured out where the Paypal info goes… I do have to get my credentials later on to test it though and hopefully everything works fine.

Also I’m still not entirely sure how the direct Paypal to seller thing works… With the new account I see I have to put in the extra credentials but it seems like a bit much really…

I figured direct to seller from buyers would just require their Paypal email…. This just seems a bit much, do I really need the sellers to give all that info in addition to their Paypal email address?

And do I understand correctly that this will force payments directly to seller’s Paypal account from the buyer, so that I would have to get another payment from them later for any commissions?

    Thread Starter combrokerage

    (@combrokerage)

And after entering in my Paypal information to the new store I created, I still get the error message below when trying to purchase the product I created.

“Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your state. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements.”

I disabled my Paypal payment option in Woocommerce ==> Settings ==> Payment Settings. I thought that I wouldn’t need it.. I thought the Paypal settings would work that I had entered into this WCFM script. Am I doing something wrong?

Also I have the “WCFM – WooCommerce Multivendor Marketplace – Direct PayPal” WordPress plugin enabled too so I’m not sure why I have to have my information in Woocommerce there for Paypal when it would be going to seller accounts anyway? Even when I go to Paypal to pay it says I’m logged into the product owners account but that’s of course the only account I have to test with, so the admin and the store are the same….

Am I getting sent the payment first to admin or directly to the store?

    Thread Starter combrokerage

    (@combrokerage)

I think I have actually tested it as I removed the email from the settings while just enabling Paypal payments in Woocommerce Settings, and still I see the info about payment to my “store name” on Paypal without those settings.

So with the settings I think I’m good now ? I will mark as resolve and re-open or start a new thread if needed, thanks.
