Membership confirmed by site admin

    Hello

    haven’t find a setting to archieve this.

    When someone registers for a membership a mail is send to the site admin.
    The member is created but his membership is not activated yet.
    If everything is ok, the site admin will activate the membership for the new subscriber and therefore he/she will become a real member of the site.

    If this could only be archive with filters – no problem.
    Just need to know which I have to use.
    Then I would be able to code the rest myself.

    Hi @mumbomedia,

    Hope you’re doing well ??

    M2 doesn’t have this option at this moment but we have a custom solution that should work.
    Download below file, unzip it and place it inside your wp-content/plugins/membership/app/ folder and after that you should see new add-on in plugin that will allow you to approve new users.

    I do it but nothing changes.
    Then I move it into the addon subfolder and I see it and could activate it.
    There a no settings?

    Hm, strange.

    An email with the user name and password is sent to the subscriber and the admin get informed about the new registration. But on the Unapproved Members tab there are no members found after I make a test registration.

    Maybe have I set up it wrong?

    Hello @mumbomedia,

    I tested that extension and I can see new users showing on the Unapproved Members list.
    That add-on works only with Free membership (Standard membership). Are you sure that you do have this one used?
    There is no settings for that add-on, it needs only to be enabled.

    May I test this on your site?

    Hello Kasia,

    thank you for the reply.
    Now it works.
    But there is no email sent to the subcriber that inform him that his account is now usable. I managed to add this behaviour by altering the approve_user-function of the class MS_Addon_Useractivation_Model.
    I am not really happy with this solution and looking for a better solution (if available). Also I have to look with wihich hook I could alter the new registration message which is sent to the site admin. I want to add a link so that the approvement could be done with only one click.

    If you have any suggestions let me know them.
