members only section

I need to create a members only section of a site that I am building with wordpress. Is there an easy way of doing this?

Basically there will be one branch of the site hierarchy that requires users to log in to access anything below that branch. This branch will include a php-wiki and phpBB installation and if possible I’d like an integrated authentication system to include them.
