Hello, a clients website is using litespeed for a month or so now and some members are having issues. When they login the are not able to view the content until they clear their cache. The website is setup so that if you are not an active member you will not see the content but if you are an active member you can.

How can I make it so that when active members login they are able to view the content without having to clear their cache?

  • Disable “Cache Logged-in Users”

    please provide the report number

you can get it in toolbox -> report -> click “send to LiteSpeed”

I don’t believe I have “Cache Logged-In Users”. We are using Amember Pro, so there are Active and Expired roles.

I have it set so that posts have an if member else if active else statements. so I didnt want to cache logged-in users.

Isn’t posting a report a little risky for the website posting it here?

not exactly , when you click that “send to LiteSpeed” button , the content of the report will send to our server , then you just need to share me the report number it generated

for other people , it’s 8 capital letter which is meaningless , but we can use it to locate your report

Is there a way for me to just exclude all of the posts from being cached?
This way even if a user is logged in or not the if statement will trigger and show the content if their an active member. that would work right?

    huh ?

how many posts you have ? I would imagine that’s like 80, 90% of your site pages?

there are a lot of posts, but clients aren’t able to view them when they login so they are canceling/refunding the purchase and complaining. clearing their cache works but still they have to message us and ask whats going on, some are just refunding and canceling their membership.

then maybe you could just disable cache login ?

because if it’s 3rd party login system , the plugin may not be able to detect the status properly

im not sure at the moment if it on or not. but i will check tomorrow.

it is amember pro. I’m not sure if that is what you mean.
but they do login through the amember member area and they have an active and expired user roles.

the amember pro people recommend to disable cache for protected content completly.

Is there a way for me to do that without disabling the litespeed, which is why i thought about just excluding all the posts.

I just found something from another comment from this support area.

So I have a dynamic header menu for guest and users ( login | register and logout ), the recommendation was “1) you can try to use “cache login user” , that will make 2 caches , 1 for guest user, 1 for login user” is that still true today and would you recommend it?

Also is there a way to put some kind of code around my if statement so that it isn’t cached? I have it on the functions.php page and using a shortcode to display it, would I be able to do something to make it so that chunk of code is not cached?
