    Hi,
I’m currently using Paid Memberships Pro for a news platform. Part of the content is only visible for subscribers and the other part is for everyone. This is working well so far.

There is a problem I see now: wp-admin login and subscribers login are linked. What I mean is that, when someone pays and subscribes to the platform, there is a new subscriber created in the member area, but also WordPress creates automatically an user with subscriber status (not admin, not collaborator). This means, that every member could log in to wp-admin and see the backend of the website and this is not desirable, of course.

Is there anyway to solve this?

    Thanks in advance,

    María

    Hi María,

If you go to the Memberships > Settings > Advanced page from your WP Dashboard, there should be a section labeled “Restrict Dashboard Access”. As long as both of the checkboxes in that section are checked, users with the “Subscriber” role should not be able to access the backend of the website or see the admin bar.

Can you please ensure those checkboxes are checked and see if this resolves the issue?
