    Hello!

I was working with one of my site content managers today and when he tried to log into the website members area to do his job it showed him logged in as me (the owner admin).

We tried clicking the logout button on his end, ctrl+F5, clearing browser cache, different browser, and nothing cleared it until I logged completely out of everything (members area and admin) on my end and closed my browser. It was at that point that he was able to log in and my information stopped displaying.

I had another of my Admins (and FTP host) take a look and he was showing as logged in as himself. Then he logged out to test it and after he logged out it showed him logged in as me.

The information is not displaying on the ‘My Profile’ page as that tells them to log in. It is however, displaying on the membership login page. It displayed them as already logged in (as me) and then would not allow them to log out.

Can you tell me what is causing this and if there is an existing solution? If not an existing solution can one be provided?

    Thanks so much in advance.

    Demona

I looked further into this with my host shortly after submitting this and we believe we have resolved the error. Here is the answer to the question for those that may experience this issue.

    Server side caching.

We use a cache buffer to assist with website load speed and page caching because of the variety of content and images we host on our site. This was causing a caching issue on the server side that happened to catch my login and show it client side to anyone that tried to log in.

The solution was to access the caching list and exclude anything containing /member so that caching did not occur on those pages.
