Members capabilities for WP Smart Export

  • Hi,
    I need a custom role (“Members” plugin) to use WP Smart Export. Only admins can use it for now.
    Is there a WP Smart Export slug I can add in Members settings for this role ?
    Is there another way to allow a non-admin to export, without giving manage_options rights for this specific role ?

    @nomades are you getting any errors when exporting through WP Smart Export, with a non-admin role?

    Any role that has access to the export page should be able to export posts.

    Thanks for your quick response.

    A non-admin role can not access to the export page not see the plugin in admin menu.
    I found the capability used to check the rights is “manage_options”. I changed it to “add_users” (for my case) and it do the trick, but I needed to modify the plugin for that.
    I wanted to know if a WP Smart Export slug exists which can be declared in “Members” roles settings or another way to give access to a non-admin role (no manage_options capability, that is not safe to give to anyone)

    For now, my solution works, but any update will broke it.

    Was this ever resolved? I’m also wanting to give Editors access to this plugin. Is there a way to do this in functions.php?
