members area

  • hi Everyone,

    I’m building a wordpress site that requires a members only blog area, i’ve been looking at some member area plugins, but not sure which one to use. Most of the plugins just restrict specific blog posts. I need to have maybe a separate blog the contents of which will only be viewable to registered members.
    what would be the best way to achieve this?

  • Perhaps you could create a sub-domain and just repeat install the app there. Then you just have the pages refuse unauthorized access (so that folks cannot just do a direct type into their addressbar or otherwise sneak past the gateway).

    If you do it this way make sure you use a separate database…
