Member/user page Yoast Title

Have you tried modifying the title format in the “User Profile Title” option in the UM Settings?

Please go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > Misc > User Profile Title. Here’s a list of short tag that you can use in the title:

For the custom field, you can try this example: {usermeta:gender}

Sorry for the delay and thanks a lot for your support.

Yes, I tried each of the available options in the docs article about seo, and with the {usermeta:meta} option, but anything works. The title keeps showing Member – Directory (the name of my web). I tried disabling yoast but nothing changes.

Did you mean the page title doesn’t show for Member Directory? Or are you trying to display the user’s display name ( first and last name ) on the Profile/User page title?

Could you please confirm that you’re trying to change the Member Directory page title and not the User/Profile page title? They are both different pages.

But it says “Member – Directory”. What’s the slug of the page that you want to update the title? Is it yoursite.com/user/username ?

Yes, is that one. In this case the /user/ is renamed to /member/, which is assigned to the user profile option. The title of this page is the one that is not modified, stays with the name that I set in WordPress.

Thanks for providing the screenshots.

I couldn’t reproduce the issue on my end. I tried installing Yoast and added {username} in the UM User page title settings. It shows the username as the page title.

Could you please try disabling other plugins and leave UM active? Let’s see if there’s a conflict with other plugins.

I have disabled all the plugins and check but it still not working. The thing is that having only Yoast and UM doesn’t change anything. I mean, if in Yoast I remove all the variables and put a random text, it doesn’t change, it continues showing the title established on the page settings.

Does your site have any server-side cache modules? If so, please try clearing the cache and see if it refreshes the User page title.

Nope, there is no cache enabled on the server. I tried with a new installation and does not work either. I don’t know what is the problem. Thanks a lot for your support
