Member Rolls not saved in membership directory

Hello,
I’m having troubles with saving member rolls in the membership directory. I created member rolls for every department of my uni to show which members are in which department. Sadly the membership directory does not save the selected member rolls. Everything else I can select is saved correctly.
In addition to that I looked in my db and the um db is totally empty. I don’t think thats right either.Can someone help me with my problem? My prof and I looked everywhere and couldn’t find a solution.

I have a similar issue.
I have 2 user roles for my directory.
I was create different pages to show results in each user role but the directory only show results when I don’t select any user role, its shows all user roles but when I select again a user role doesnt shows any results its the same with the predeterminated members user role.
Please any help for this issue.
