• I have been building a site that uses Ultimate Member. Everything was working 100% and after I opened multiple pages of the site, I started getting an error. When the Permalinks are set to “Plain” and I go to the member directory and click on a member’s profile, I see the member’s profile page. However if permalinks is set to “Postname” then when I click on the member profile I get a “Too many re-directs” error in Safari, or a “page cannot be found” error in Firefox.
Everything was working 100% before. I have even deleted the htaccess file on the server and let WordPress create a new file, but the problem persists.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @t13design,

What profile permalink base do you have in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Users tab?
Please also check our doc on how to troubleshoot “User Profile: Page Not Found”.
You can also do a quick conflict test and see if some other plugin or your theme causing this issue. How to do a plugin/theme conflict test?

    Regards.

    Hi,

I have the Profile Permalink Base set to Username
All the plugins and the theme worked without any hassle before. I have not installed any new plugins since I built the site.

I did the complete conflict test. changed the theme and deactivated all the plugins and the problem still persists.
If I have setup custom forms, member profiles etc in Ultimate Member and I delete and re-install the plugin, will my settings still be intact?
I would hate to lose all the content, settings and profiles I have setup.

    Hi @t13design,

Can you please try to delete your User page and create the new one, don’t forget to assign new user page in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Setup.

    Let us know.
    Regards.

Thanks for your help…When looking at this I noticed that there was no page set for this, and upon more investigation, I found that the User page was set as a draft! No idea how that happened, but everything seems to be working now.
