Member List showing bits of code instead of list
-
Not sure exactly when, but somewhat recently, our member area started showing weirdness, shown below. The page-load indicator (not shown) just spins and spins.
Note that when I turned off the restriction that only members can view the list … it works. But I need that restriction, and it has worked fine for a couple years now.How can I fix this:
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I just rolled back to version 2.8.6 and it works as expected.
I’ll keep it at 2.8.6 until y’all release a fix.

thanks! I also rolled back to 2.8.6 and then the profile list page works. Hope they got it fixed soon.
Hello @scirceo
Please try to use this code:
function my_um_loggedin_inner_content( $prepared_content, $content ) {
return apply_shortcodes( UM()->shortcodes()->convert_locker_tags( wpautop( $content ) ) );
}
add_filter( 'um_loggedin_inner_content', 'my_um_loggedin_inner_content', 10, 2 );Regards.
i’m also using the code [um_loggedin]
Just to add in, I’m encountering the same problem. But I’m not using any particular shortcode for the access restriction. Just the member directory shortcode (e.g. [ultimatemember form_id=”18692″]).
I do use the Ultimate Member: Content Restriction box when editing the page. But even when I don’t impose any access restriction, the same error occurs. I didn’t keep a copy of 2.8.6 so there’s no easy way to rollback. But the problem only started a few months ago and seems to coincide with one of the recent updates. Adding the filter above didn’t work as well. Any quick fix to this?

I added that code to my functions.php file and it worked to fix the problem on the Member List page on my staging site with the latest version of UM, which is now version 2.8.8. (Please note that I tried this version earlier today without the code you posted above, and the Member List page was not fixed.)
I have not yet checked whether other problems have arisen because of it, but I can confirm that the Member List issue I originally posted about appears to be fixed with the added code. Thank you.Hello @andrewshu
I have added the code you provided to our production site, updated to UM version 2.8.8, and it works fine, no anomalies noted. If I see something that does not look as expected, I’ll post it here.
Thank you for your assistance.- This reply was modified 1 month, 2 weeks ago by scirceo.
Came here to post a bug report for the exact same issue. I have a um_loggedin short code that obfuscated some elements, as of updating to 2.8.8 this morning all elements inside of that short code showed as plain text.
The code snippet you provided and listed below brought the page back to functioning on the newest version. I’m reverting the update for now to avoid adding a “temporary” work around that we’ll forget about in 2 months and still be there in 3 years.
Can we get a confirmation that this is being looked into and will be fixed in a future patch?
function my_um_loggedin_inner_content( $prepared_content, $content ) {
return apply_shortcodes( UM()->shortcodes()->convert_locker_tags( wpautop( $content ) ) );
}
