• Hi

On my website one of the users do not get any results when accessing the page with the “UM Member Directory” is placed (ultimatemember form_id=”123″).

He is registered as an Administrator++, so this should not be the problem. Have tried to change role and UM user etc.

Where can I see permissions and change these??

All other users (as far as I know) get all users listed correctly. This specific user only get the search forms and the “Sorry. No users match ***” text underneath..

Well, found the solution. A member had two rolex, where one of the rolex was not permitted to show the member directory, overruling the other.

How can I adjust so it not overrules access that is already granted by another role? Priority?

can you screenshot the edit field screen for rolex?

Meant two roles, not rolex ;-D

the 2 roles need to have the same permissions.

“allow this role to view profiles”

    Role: Admin(WP), Admin++(UM)

The only Administrator role is the WP default one. But this seems to have all permissions granted.

But when I chose a second role (without all permissions to view profiles) for the user, it seemed to override his Administrator-role and deny him permission to see the profiles..

correct. however WP roles have nothing to do with UM. so if you don’t have a UM role that has “view profiles” switched on. you won’t be able to view the profile.

So, basically it is recommended to only have one role?

Should I choose a UM role as the “standard” WP role and not use ex. “Subscriber” at all? Or is it OK to use one UM role and one WP role?

My user had one WP role (Administrator) and two UM roles, and it seemed that the lowest ranked UM role overruled the highest, thus giving him less permissions than he should.

can you provide screenshots or video of what you are talking about so we can be of more help?

you should have two default UM roles

    Member
    Admin

    WordPress Roles:

    Administrator
    Contributor
    Author
    Subscriber
    Web Designer (custom)
    Upstream Manager (custom)
    Downstream Manager(custom)

    as Admin you should have

Administrator(WP), Admin (this will give you access to UM and WP Admin area)

for regular members you should do this

Subscriber(WP), Member(UM) (this will give them member permissions only for both UM and WP)

    make sense?

Yes, makes good sense, thank you ??
