Member Directory Form Field Styles
-
I have a client using UltimateMember for their site. I am implementing some custom search pages for them to search some of their custom post types etc.
They would like the search form to have consistent styling across the site and would like to see the search forms on these pages look and behave the way that UM’s member directory search form does.I have changed the code that generates the HTML for the form to output the form and surrounding divs exactly as UM does for its member directory. The form still has a few style and functionality issues and I can’t figure out why.
Firstly, the placeholder text does not show in the main select field and the field has no border around it. Essentially all you see is a big space where the field is (but no border or content) and the down arrow.
If you click the down arrow, the search box appear and the field behaves correctly (i.e. lets you search and select values from the list).
Once an item is selected, the X (allowing you to clear the field) doesn’t appear.I note alot of the CSS which affects these fields on the UM directory is injected inline but I can’t tell where it’s coming from.
If I copy it all into my stylesheet, it still doesn’t have any impact on the way the fields look.Any thoughts/ideas on how I can make these fields look and behave the same on a non-UM page?
