In version 2.1.3 you added member directories’ custom sorting labels.
That added a new field (Label) in the Sort section of Members Directory settings.
After the update to 2.1.3 that field is empty and the result is that the directory is not sorted anymore by the meta-key (other field).
What are we suppose to put in that LABEL field ?

    Hi @ldeschenes

Sorry for the delay, you could set the Label field to your meta key title. E.g. you have “display_name” custom sorting key, so the label will be “Display Name”.

Let me know if this works,
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply.

The problem was not about the Label field itself…

The problem is that if you use ONLY an “others field” as default sort field. This give a random sorting.
You have to set a second field in the bottom section in order to get this to work.

Please report that bug to the developers.

I concur with @ldeschenes. I want to set the sort order, and not allow the user to change it or see it. This used to work. Now I have to add a label, enable user sorting and select a field from the list. Then use CSS to hide the drop-down from the user. Very unsatisfactory. You should be able to set the sort order, but not let the user see it or change it.

I am having a similar problem sorting a member directory, as stated above. I tried placing the directory both with the UM Directory Block and with a shortcode and it malfunctions regardless of method. It had been working beautifully until update 2.1.3.

I use UM on several sites and love it — hope this is fixed soom. Thanks.
