First, Tom, let me say that I really like this product and you seem to be busting your tail to make it better. I see so many features that are a result of users’ issues and ideas. I commend you for the attentiveness you’ve shown…it’s not super common in the plugin world.

I have a couple of more things that are going on MY SITE. One can be seen as it is, and one breaks the menu, so I’ll need to show it to you at a time when I know you’re ready to look at it. Unfortunately we don’t have a development server so I have to work straight to the live site.

First, my Mega Panels can be found under Capabilities and Markets. When they are showing, they run past the end of the page. They start at the beginning of the menu and run out to the right. I’d like them to start at the end of the menu (the right edge of the page) and push past the front edge of the menu so there’s nothing that’s not within the content boundaries. It doesn’t really cause an issue for me, or most people, because of my widescreen monitor, but anyone who is viewing it on a 4:3 monitor might not see the end of the Mega Panel because of it running past the content.

Secondly, I enabled the Mega Menu for the Blog link and put in a widget that shows excerpts and links of the most recent posts. When I saved the menu and refreshed my page, the menu showed About us to Blog. Support and Contact Us were hidden…or so I thought. When I moused over Blog to see the widget, I found Support and Contact Us in there. Not sure what would cause that, and I can’t really mess around too much with it as it obviously breaks my nav for site visitors. We do get people on our site at all times of the day as our products are used globally, but it’s definitely slower in the evening (EST). Not sure where you are, but if we can work out a time when you can look at this, I’ll break it while we figure it out.

Thanks again for all your work on this!

    Hi mychiefs58,

Thanks for the kind words ??

Please could you try setting this as the “Panel Width” in the theme editor?

    .container-12

It’s a new feature (i.e. it has only really been tested by me, but not so much in the real world), it should align your mega menus to your site content.

The widget issue I’m not sure about, it sounds like its outputting some invalid html (maybe missing a closing li or ul tag) which is throwing the whole menu out. What is the name of the widget?

    Regards,
    Tom

    tom,

.container-12 keeps the mega panel within the bounds of the overall container now, although it is still restricted to the width of the menu itself and not the 960 px of the panel. still, it does fix the overrun on the right side and looks much better, so thanks for that.

i’ve tried two different widgets in the menu, text and my recent posts. the my recent posts is what broke it as described above. the text (which was just containing <img> tags, didn’t work at all. nothing showed up.
