Media_sideload_image not attaching image to post

I am trying to attach an image to a custom post type, which works fine, but when I add the filter hook to change the image sizes the whole thing doesn’t work well, the media attachment points to /uploads and not to uploads/wp-site-gallery/

Any idea what might be the problem?
