• I first noticed that my media uploads aren’t working: unable to see existing uploaded media, unable to upload media to posts. It was working fine a few weeks ago (which is the last time I was in admin). Now WordPress is freaking out on me if I try to log in with another browser to see if that does anything, and I get the error message “Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /nfs/c11/h04/mnt/192717/domains/water.bhfs.com/html/wp-content/themes/bhfsblog/functions.php:151) in /nfs/c11/h04/mnt/192717/domains/water.bhfs.com/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 121”

I tried restoring uploads and plugins from Updraft to see if that would work, no luck. I tried deactivating a bunch of newer plugins, no luck. I tried updating existing plugins and got the following error message:
    “Update Failed: {“success”:true,”data”:{“update”:”plugin”,”slug”:”email-subscribers”,”oldVersion”:”Version 3.4.8″,”newVersion”:”Version 3.4.12″,”plugin”:”email-subscribers\/email-subscribers.php”,”pluginName”:”Email Subscribers & Newsletters”}}”

When I try to update an existing post, I get this error message “Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /nfs/c11/h04/mnt/192717/domains/water.bhfs.com/html/wp-content/themes/bhfsblog/functions.php:151) in /nfs/c11/h04/mnt/192717/domains/water.bhfs.com/html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 1116

I don’t know how to fix this! Luckily all the existing content seems to show up fine on the user end.

Your bhfsblog theme seems to be the error.

To verify, try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.) using FTP/ SFTP , or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder by adding "-old" to the end of the folder name. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.). That will force your site to use it.

    Hi,
I can’t get logged into the admin side of the website at all now when I visit:
    https://water.bhfs.com/wp-admin/

    Error message is still:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /nfs/c11/h04/mnt/192717/domains/water.bhfs.com/html/wp-content/themes/bhfsblog/functions.php:151) in /nfs/c11/h04/mnt/192717/domains/water.bhfs.com/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1216

Would you be able to provide more detailed info on how to change the theme with FTP/SFTP? The link you provided seems to be broken. Or any other way to change the theme to the default without losing existing content?

    Thank you!

As I said in my previous reply, Your bhfsblog theme seems to be the error.

I recommend reporting the issue to the developers of your theme.

If you need immediate access to dashboard, access your server via FTP/ SFTP , or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder by adding "-old" to the end of the folder name. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.). That will force your site to use it.
