media uploader/ edit window mismatch

  • The media uploader automatically puts an image’s file name in the Title box. But if you click the edit button on an image in the Visual editor, it shows an empty Title box. And if you open the image from the Edit Media panel via the Media Library, it doesn’t even have a Title box at all. Would be helpful if these were consistent. Pretty confusing as it is, and I’m not sure whether I should bother putting a title on an image or not.

    I just realized also that if you click Add New under Media in the left menu bar, you get the previous media uploader version. Does it do something different? Or is it only for adding media directly to the library, as opposed to adding to a post?
