There is a 2MB restriction for media in WordPress. After reading around, it seemed this restriction was actually from php on the webhost. So I checked my sites info and upload restriction was waay above 2MB. Plus I had been running 19MB flvs from this host when I built a site not using WordPress. How do I change this restriction?

Running a 19meg FLV isn’t the same as using WordPress and PHP to upload them ??

Check this out to help you sort out if it’s still your php settings doing this: https://www.radinks.com/upload/config.php

You’ll need to make a phpinfo() page to check. There’s more than one place to check.

I got it up to 8MB but putting a php.ini file in the etc folder on my site, even though it says 20MB in the file.

Honestly, this sounds like a server config issue. Something ELSE on your server is limiting the upload. Ask your host for help.
