Media upload issue after migration

  • Hi,

    I hope this is the right area to ask this question. Yesterday I moved a WordPress website over from a temporary domain over to the live server, and initially I thought it had gone very smoothly (I was fully expecting something to go wrong!), however I’ve now noticed a subtle problem to do with media. On trying to upload a new image to a page it was putting this image into the wrong folder (2015/10, despite being yesterday and should have been 2016/02). Also, the featured images, while working on the pages themselves, on the edit screen are showing a broken image link icon.

    I’m relatively sure this is something to do with a link in the database, as after some fiddling I have to update the upload directory to wp-content/uploads.

    Any help would be really appreciated as I am quite stuck!
